Do I need to have any ultrasound experience?
No. Previous ultrasound experience is not required.
How much practical scanning time is included?
Each module is half theory/half practical so there are 6 hours of practical scanning time each weekend (24 hours over the entire course).
How many delegates are in each practical group?
There are 3 delegates per practical group.
What is the delegate-to-tutor ratio for practicals?
There is a maximum of 18 delegates per course and 3 tutors for each practical session. For a full course, the delegate-to-tutor ratio will be 6:1.
Is there any online component to this course?
There is no mandatory online component; however, delegates do receive access to our online learning platform where they can download digital copies of their notes (hard copies supplied on the day) and any other materials supplied by the speakers. They can also chat with their cohort via the delegate discussion forum.
Can I bring my clinic’s ultrasound machine to learn/practise on?
No. Our ultrasound workshops are fully supplied and equipped with Medical Plus ultrasound machines. A Medical Plus technician is also onsite to answer any equipment-related questions you have.
