Dr Carmel Griffin BVSc CSAM GCEd. MANZCVSc
Director of Operations
Carmel qualified from the University of Queensland with a bachelor degree in Veterinary Science. She went on to work in the United Kingdom for 5 years, completing a 3 year residency in feline medicine at the University of Liverpool. She completed her RCVS Certificate of Small Animal Medicine and the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists Membership exams in Feline Medicine.
Carmel then worked in a series of private feline, referral and University practices. She developed a strong interest in clinical teaching during that time, particularly during seven years teaching undergraduates in the University of Queensland Veterinary School. In this role she completed her Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education, through the School of Medicine. She continued her veterinary teaching as Clinical Academic in Veterinary Medicine before returning to private small animal medical practice in 2012, where she currently still works.
In her role as the Director of Operations with Improve International Australia, Carmel ensures delegates a positive and rewarding hands-on learning experience.
Claudia is currently studying Veterinary Science at The University of Queensland and works for Improve helping to manage the equipment required at the workshops. In her spare time, she is involved in training dog agility.
Program Administrator / Marketing Assistant
As Improve’s Program Administrator / Marketing Assistant, Jessica takes care of new program enquiries and registrations, and also assists Brooke and Carmel with event logistics and marketing communications. Jessica is a keen dog trainer and is currently studying with The Academy for Dog Trainers.
