When are the modules released?
The online modules are released Thursday of each week, with the follow-up live tutorial and Q & A for that module running one week later. Please see the ‘modules’ tab for details.
What time is the tutorial for each module?
You have the option of a Wednesday evening tutorial at 7.00-9.00 pm, or a Thursday lunch time tutorial at 12:30-2:30 pm. You will be asked to select your tutorial group at the time of booking. Please note all tutorial times are AEST/QLD time.
What is the weekly live tutorial about?
At the end of each module’s content there are a series of questions. These questions will be of short answer format and case-based around the module material. The two hour tutorial on ZOOM is a live virtual classroom where the answers will be reviewed and discussed. Additional material may also be presented.
What if I can’t attend the tutorial at that time?
All the ZOOM tutorials will be recorded and put up on the learning platform soon after the tutorials for your viewing at a time that suits. However, we do strongly recommend attending and engaging in the live tutorials.
What is ZOOM?
ZOOM is a cloud-based meeting room. You will be sent a link to cut and paste into your browser to join your tutorial.
Do I need a ZOOM app for this?
There is an app you can download for ease of use, but you can also access the tutorial by going to https://zoom.us/, click on ‘Join a meeting’ and cut and paste the provided ZOOM meeting link into meeting ID.
Are there any special internet or computer requirements to be able to run ZOOM?
Please see ZOOM support for full requirements: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362023-System-Requirements-for-PC-Mac-and-Linux
Do I get a certificate for completing the program or do I need to sit the exam?
Every delegate in the program will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the program and 75 CPD units. There is an optional exam held 2 months after the program end (to allow for revision and review), which will assess your knowledge under exam conditions and give you individual written feedback on your progress. Delegates who pass this examination will receive a Certificate of Competency and gain an additional 2 CPD units.
What format is the final exam in?
It will be in similar format to the questions at the end of each module; both short answer and case based questions will be in the examination. The exam will be submitted and marked by a Senior AES facilitator and individual feedback given to the participants.
What date is the examination to be held?
The examination date will be set towards the end of the 15-week program. It will run with online invigilation in the Thursday 12:30-2:30 pm AEST/QLD time-slot. Invitations and further details will be sent out closer to the date.
